After my very slow recovery after Superbooth (due to the damned CFS syndrome from which I've suffered for some years) I'm in full swing again with fulfilling orders and can gladly say that we have shortened the backlog considerably. In the meantime. This means, we get most orders out of the door in 2-3 weeks now; yeah! Believe me, the long waiting times have always been a big PITA for me. I've continued to work on the upcoming WAEVE82 synth module I've demoed at Superbooth; it’s quite some work because this thing is way beyond anything I had made before - I mean, this is a full-blown 8-voice polyphonic synth, not just a polyphonic oscillator - but it will be great, I promise!!. I have also worked on a new filter module and I wonder if any of you can guess what it is from this breadboard prototype? Also in the making is a new revision of the venerable SVFILTER; one of the very ancient AE modules. It is completely redesigned, making it more consistent over different production batches, and it has a better resonance now. A few weeks ago I had a student intern here at tangible waves again - what a great experience! A 13-year old, who grasped everything so quickly, even soldering, which usually takes a lot of practice to be productive. Not for Levi: I showed it to him two or three times, gave some hints, and after that, he soldered like a pro without any corrections needed from my side, awesome! No need to say he assembled a complete system based on a sketch completely by himself at the end of the week - and of course time for some jamming was inevitable. And we even designed a very simple module together, from breadboard to PCB layout! Ok, here, I was involved a bit more ;-) Anyway, I was so happy to see this super smart boy and hopefully gave some inspiration; I’m sure he will go a good way! But rest assured, new and exciting things are in the making! News and Music from the CommunityAnother Emom live stream from Namke. His set starts at 1:22:00 but the other acts are also not bad at all. Always impressive how he can do a whole set with such a small system. https://www.youtube.com/live/TMvHVAfrNjo?si=axEGT3KzzwCINFmT P3tr, our resident master of ambient and other atmospheric experiments has created a track for the collaboration album "Desert Music" by Aural Films. Check it out! https://forum.aemodular.com/thread/3560/irem We think it's time again for another fishing video from Blackwarrior Lures aka funbun. Even if you're not into fishing, you may enjoy the scenery and AE Modular sound track. She had cost too much to die - is a really catchy tune by soli made with Rains, Selector and other intricately routed modules. It sounds sooo nice! Check it out: https://forum.aemodular.com/thread/3546/cost-die-july-2025 This track by professore Saltatempo has some cool experiments with modulated delays: Last but not least here is the latest soundtrack from Maydonpoliris made with his growing AE monster and the Roland T-8 drum machine: Meetings and EventsOur last zoom meetup was on Wednesday 30th July and was well attended. We welcomed a new member to the AE Modular community and otherwise talked a lot about MIDI, Arpeggiators and other projects. The next meetup is planned for Saturday 30th of August. Please see the forum announcements for more details.
